The Digital Communications Association of Perinton (DCAP) was formed to promote and develop digital communication technologies which wed computers and amateur radio.

Begun in the golden ages of packet radio DCAP pioneered the use of 9.6k and 56k packet radio in the Rochester, New York region. We were the first to enable voice over IP (voip) communications over the local 146.61 repeater and now DCAP is expanding the coverage of D-Star digital voice communications in Western NY.
